A visit to Museum of Moving of Moving Image was such a fun and educational experience that enriched my knowledge of media studies. It was pretty amazing to see what I learned over the semesters at Hunter, such as history and developments of moving images and technologies that have been invented. Although I have visited museums all over the world, I realized that it would be a richer experience to go to a museum of the materials of which I have basic understanding. Having a tour guide who provided us in-depth and insightful explanation was absolutely amazing to actually try to know the contexts behind the exhibitions, not just taking pictures. Absorbing information using my sensory systems such as seeing or touching was more intimate experience than simply reading a textbook and looking up images online.
